How to become an approved SO Transporter and/or Processor

Registering with Stewardship Ontario is the first required step toward approval to be an MHSW Transporter and/or Processor. Once approved your firm will be placed on the list of Registered & Approved Transporters and Processors for the applicable program.

The first step in this process is to register by creating an online profile. Once you have registered Stewardship Ontario will connect with your primary contact.

If it is determined by your organization and Stewardship Ontario that there is a “good fit” you will be asked to
complete the application process.

In order to complete the application process you will need to provide:

• Documentation of government approvals where applicable
• Compliance statement based on the results of an Environmental Audit
• Download a copy of the Audit Checklist
• Download an example of a Compliance Letter
• (View our list of Approved Third-Party Environmental Audit Consultants)
• Operational description and activities
• The final requirement in this process is to read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
