Version 2 of the MHSW Vendor Standards

Updated MHSW Vendor Standards are now available:

• Draft Proposed Collection Standards - version 2
• Draft Proposed Transportation Standards - version 2
• Draft Proposed Processor Standards - version 2

These versions incorporate several changes (summary of changes) that were provided through the consultation process for each of the Vendor Standards.

Stewardship Ontario has produced a consultation document which summarizes all the comments and questions that were received and how they were addressed.

Background

Stewardship Ontario is revising the vendor standards currently in effect under the MHSW Phase 1 program. As part of this undertaking, we are also developing standards that will apply to the remaining materials designated by the Minister of the Environment for inclusion in Phase 1 of the MHSW Program.

The purpose of the December 8 online meeting was to initiate consultation on the new draft vendor standards. All participants of this meeting and other interested parties will be invited to provide written comments for a period of time after the meeting.
