Since the program was established, there has been one Program Plans approved my the Minister of the Environment.

Note: Revisions to the original program plan aimed at boosting the recycling rate were requested by the Minister of Environment in August 2009. After extensive consultation with stakeholders, a new revised draft was presented to the Board of Directors of Stewardship Ontario and subsequently the Board of Directors of WDO. The final revised Program Plan was submitted to the Environment Minister for review on April 30, 2010 and is currently pending approval from the MoE.
