Interpretive Memorandum on Architectural Paints and Coatings - Published on Dec. 21, 2011

In response to steward requests for clarity on the meaning of “architectural coatings” in the MHSW Rules, Stewardship Ontario has prepared an Interpretative Memorandum. Since the program was established, there have been five sets of Rules:

• MHSM Rules for January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011
  • Interpretive Memorandum on pesticides - Published on March 18, 2011
    • On January 1, 2011 a revised set of MHSW Rules for Stewards went into effect. Within those Rules, a phrase within the definition of pesticides was omitted. In response to steward concerns we have developed an Interpretive Memorandum which clarifies this issue. This Interpretive Memorandum remains valid until new Rules are introduced.
